We were very excited to have an unusually warm and green Christmas here in Canada as we worked on this latest release. Meanwhile, our teammates located in Texas, Italy and Thailand seemed amused at our excitement over NOT having snow. We’ve packed an engagement PARTY into this release, so here’s my favourite picks of what’s new (along with a song pairing). Why the songs? Because “app release messages” tend to be about as exciting as watching paint dry, and music makes everything more interesting.   1. **I HEART CONTENT** Song Pairing: [Bad Paris feat. Mimoza - I Heart You](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTERk9aAE-A) We gave the thumbs down to our “thumbs voting” feature. Why? Because there’s nothing inspiring about giving down votes to others - and it ends up users love hearts much more. ![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/Vm7M8ozETNiD4cBIMEk8ZjAxegw2mS7qDKGs65Of-tsrYB2ydiZ1KrE6a21CMUv45QmQu4N75cDfmcQgO9aw2512lazDiAEfl_lTRe5LPr8dPyVtuPSaUdJXQIv8ERIMcwPfhHNQ)   2. **HELP MAKING CONTENT SNACKABLE** Song Pairing: [Plumb - One Drop](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d17zoQX-iLs) Shorter is better - especially on mobile. That’s why we built in a nifty little feature that will give you a quick “hint” if you’re starting to get long-winded in your posts (more than 3 minutes to read/watch).   3. **WHO WROTE THIS?** Song Pairing: [American Authors - Best Day of My Life](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y66j_BUCBMY) Author profiles along with their full profile and name are now available so people can see your authors (like in this post!)   4. **DID I ALREADY READ THIS?** Song Pairing: [Tim McMorris - A Beautiful Life](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTlXttQL_Yk) See that cool little asterisk in the corner? That shows you (and your users) what content has not been read yet so you won’t miss out on a moment of engagement! ![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/C7nC_g1lA8cx7dtzrWm8DUueX88eNLjG7ZA3s9uG5p2J_KynAB5EREz9qUhY7yhiy_oz-cJnbQPiTT7pS6I49ctCOy9QeNceEyL6EXsC8GvkdvEWo2ghKvM1VQdMJxWxPCrVFa0n) 5. **EMAIL DIGESTS THAT DON'T SUCK!** Song Pairing: [Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-3vPxKdj6o) Well, sometimes we get things really right. Other times? Not so much. What makes us is different is that we listen really closely and are willing to “take a chance, make a change, and breakaway.” We will do whatever it takes to make our friends happy - so you asked for better email digests and we listened! Now your users will receive updates direct to their inboxes that drive engagement. ![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/ERKxdTW17ypUgdC9_5oEev3CRT0bcAsm7YrFkF9utqdfN38awy-rlEd_RQI6nZ8uCuBaJb6QDYZvRIPwHJT1IBOI3wWegpGYMRhuV5VM2Cv9nsESMhqC1sndWf0B-icAEiGHm_UB) 6. **OUR SOCIAL HUB IS MORE SOCIAL!  ** Song Pairing: [Florence & The Machine - Dog Days Are Over](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGrx6etMl0w) We know you love that you can have your ALL your social feeds in one simple hub, but we wanted to make it even better! So we made our ‘Social Hub’ feature faster and improved how users preview your posts!   ![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/28zBLJMy23o5sjo55YvyrRdJcy0oIQlCbVJzoH-piOE8SAIIQuxsIFfZkPlXEEph66ZRVwlcdAo-9kSDSejzKlM8COr0KTVNftYiP9AMyln-cF2NzAm7MIjTGBqgB79_LOiUJmBs) That’s it for this release guys! Keep your ideas and suggestions coming (and any song selections you think I must include next time!) Happy Engaging! **- Karolyn** PS - The dog featured in picture is Onyx the Labradoodle and that is what happens when you ask your spouse to take the dog to the groomers!
